Louise Fryer, Dra., é unha da descritoras con máis experiencia de Reino Unido. Realizou descricións no National Theatre (Teatro Nacional) dende que este comezou a ofrecer audiodescrición en 1993. Traballa coa organización benéfica VocalEyes como descritora, formadora e editora. Na BBC, axudou a desenvolver o servizo piloto de audiodescrición na televisión TV Audio Description Service (AUDETEL).
Describiu películas, traballou a miúdo con cineastas independentes, e foi asesora en accesibilidade para o filme nomeado a un BAFTA Notes on Blindness (2016). Escribe audioguías para museos e galerías e, na actualidade, traballa co National Disability Arts Collection and Archive (Arquivo e Colección Nacional de Arte sobre a Discapacidade – NDACA) para que a súa colección sexa accesible. Axuda a empresas interesadas en desenvolver enfoques integrados, a máis recente delas 2Faced Dance.
É docente titular sénior na University College (UCL), en Londres, e participa en numerosos proxectos de investigación europeos. A súa empresa Utopian Voices Ltd. é socia do proxecto de investigación Erasmus+ ADLAB-PRO, que ten o fin de crear recursos de ensinanza e un currículo en liña para persoas formadoras en audiodescrición
