La Dra. Louise Fryer es una de las audiodescriptoras con más experiencia del Reino Unido. Ha audiodescrito en el Teatro Nacional desde que se empezaron a ofrecer servicios de audiodescripción. Trabaja con VocalEyes como audiodescriptora, formadora y editora. Ha colaborado con la BBC para desarrollar el proyecto piloto del servicio TV Audio Description Service (AUDETEL).
Louise ha audiodescrito películas, a menudo en colaboración con realizadores independientes, y fue la consultora de accesibilidad del film Notes on Blindness (2016), que fue nominado a los premios BAFTA. Escribe audioguías para museos y galerías de arte, y actualmente está trabajando con el NDACA (National Disability Arts Collection and Archive) para hacer que su colección sea accesible. Louise ofrece apoyo a empresas interesadas en desarrollar enfoques integrales, siendo 2Faced Dance el caso más reciente.
Es profesora titular en el University College London (UCL) y ha participado en numerosos proyectos europeos de investigación. Su empresa, Utopian Voices Ltd. es socia colaboradora del proyecto de investigación con financiación de Erasmus +, ADLAB-PRO, para crear un currículum en línea y recursos didácticos para formadores en audiodescripción.
